Shenandoah: Daughter of the Stars is a classic 2d shoot'em-up game designed by Douglas Kalberg and Krister Karlsson around 1993/94 under the label of Exceed Productions. Originally to be released for Commodore Amiga and PC, the project was abandoned in mid-1994 after the coders had left the team.
In 2006, contact to Krister Karlsson was made through a member of the English Amiga Board. Coders were wanted to finally finish the game. In 2007, I (then webmaster of the now-defunct PC Games That Weren't website) decided to do the PC version. From 2007 to 2009, Krister finished all the remaining graphics, texts, and story boards. Since then, I'm working on the game.
Being a spare-time project without any salary and (way too) often interrupted by real life, it took 7 years to complete the game. For now, only a demo is available for download, as the game is still being play-tested and tweaked.
The full game will be released in late 2014.
